The Skirmish of San Felipe was one of the few engagements of the Fonseca War and took place at the Salvadoran town of San Felipe and only lasted for 3 hours.

The Short Engagement Edit

The Salvadoran platoon was sent to San Felipe to know the strength of the enemy and try to buy time for other nearby forces to reorganize and regroup at a strategic position. Once entering the town however, the platoon immediately came under fire from Honduran forces that were just 100 meters away and were closing in. the Platoon officer attempted to use the M249 to keep the enemy pinned but later an RPG hit one of their M151 JEEP trucks. After holding out for another 2 hours they decided to retreat as more Honduran troops approached.
